The aim of the research is to substantiate the theoretical, methodological, methodological and applied principles of sustainable development of the agricultural sector in the context of globalization as a basis for food security. The concept of formation, use and development of innovative potential of agricultural production was substantiated. It was determined that the realization of the potential of public-private partnership and social-public partnership for rural development requires the development of the legal space to protect the national interests of Ukraine and its citizens in land ownership. The main factors of sustainable economic growth in the agricultural sector are the investments and agro-innovations. Innovative development of the agricultural sector affects all components of food security, creates new opportunities and certain threats to food security. It is necessary to develop a national strategy for food security, which would include its current components, monitoring and evaluation indicators, relevant programs and mechanisms for their implementation, taking into account innovation and globalization challenges. Internet marketing opens wide opportunities for its use as a tool of the global electronic market in order to ensure sustainable development of the agricultural sector in the context of globalization as a basis for food security. The results of the study are used in the practical activities of the Department of Agricultural Development of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, as well as agricultural enterprises of the Kharkiv region.
