The effect of the particle surface on the appearance of nonlocal effects for metal nanoparticles smaller than the electron mean free path was demonstrated. On the basis of the theory of long-range interaction in nematic colloids, a method is proposed for controlling the structures of droplets trapped on the surface of a thin nematic film. It was demonstrated that the theory of elastic dipoles well describes various clusters and chains of trapped spherical particles, as well as the interaction and hierarchy of formation. An exact analytical solution is obtained for the quasi-one-dimensional problem of hard drives. An expression is obtained for the fourth-order correlation function for optical fields in the atmosphere. This value makes it possible to describe the spatio-temporal properties of light laser radiation in the atmosphere, taking into account the effects of nonclassicality. A theory of single-photon transport through a qubit–resonator system beyond the rotating wave approximation was developed, taking into account the rapidly oscillating parts of the Hamiltonian, leading to a shift of resonance frequencies (Bloch–Siegert shift). This shift can be used to significantly increase the readout contrast of the qubit. It is shown for the first time that bright solitons can be observed together with dark solitons on the surface of a liquid of finite depth below the threshold of modulation instability. The initial conditions are obtained under which these "new" bright solitons can be artificially created in reservoirs filled with water. An approach is developed, based on the introduction of a dynamic “polarization” of an inclusion in a gas, which determines the character of scattering and induced nonequilibrium interaction depending on the character of nonlinear dynamic screening.
