Purpose of work — the study of social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in their socio-political, socio-structural, socio-psychological and socio-cultural dimensions in Ukraine. Research methods — a systematic sociological approach that combines theoretical and empirical (quantitative and qualitative) methods in the study of the social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine. The dynamics of socio-political orientations, structural changes, socio-psychological publics’ self-esteem, changes in cultural practices and behavioral patterns of the population and its attitude to social problems and consequences of COVID-19 were defined and examined. The analysis of socio-political consequences of the legitimacy of social order in Ukraine in a pandemic was undertaken, in particular in such aspects as trust in government institutions and assessing the effectiveness of public policy in countering the pandemic; paternalistic and authoritarian social sentiments; protest potential and manifestations of social self-organization. Trends in social and structural changes, integrated self-assessments of health and assessments of the quality and effectiveness of health care in public opinion, the impact of the pandemic on social inequality and the financial situation of respondents were identified and analyzed. The socio-psychological manifestations and consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in public opinion are analyzed, the social well-being of the population in the conditions of the pandemic is diagnosed, the dynamics of psychological distress of the population are analyzed. The effects of the coronavirus crisis on the value mentality of society and on the cultural practices of the population (conditions of rest, leisure, participation in culture) have been studied.
