For each of the pilot wetlands of the study area, trends in key habitat changes that are important for birds during the nesting period (inland freshwater lakes, reed groups, floating vegetation, cumulative formations, floodplain forests, etc.) were assessed. It is noted that the anthropogenic impact and the impact of climate change have different effects on different wetlands depending on the characteristics of the reservoir, in particular the amount of fresh water entering it, seasonal features of hydrological regime, depth of the reservoir, its connection with the sea, etc. The smallest impact was observed for the Danube Delta, the largest in the Kuyalnytsya estuary. During the second phase, the first attempt was made to model potential changes in the distribution of one of the bird species within the region. Computer simulation of the distribution of Aythya nyroca in Odesa and Mykolayiv oblasts assessing the suitability of territories and individual lands for its successful stay in the nesting period established a favorable forecast for the species in the region in the future climate (2021-2040). KEY WORDS: wetland birds, wetlands, Azov-Black Sea coast, anthropogenic and climatic impact. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2022-03-09 Close
