The aim of this work – synthesis of new bis(benzoazacrown ethers) with fragments of catechol, resorcinol and hydroquinone and oxygen atoms in the binding chains. Study of complexation of the obtained macrocycles with metal cations. Synthesis of substituted calixarenes containing carboxyalkoxy groups and benzoaza-15-crown-5, amino and diaminodibenzocrown ethers. A method of the synthesis of bis(phenylene)glycol ditosylates under interphase catalysis in the presence of Quaternary ammonium salts has been developed. The reaction conditions were optimized and it was shown that the optimal concentration range of NaOH solution is 30-35%, and the most effective catalyst is triethylbenzylammonium chloride. A number of bis(benzoazacrown ethers) with phenylenethoxy chain and catechol, resorcinol and hydroquinone fragments were synthesized as a linker between crown ether fragments. The complexation of the obtained bis(benzoazacrown ethers) with cations of alkali and alkaline earth metals has been studied. For bis(crown ether) with a central fragment of catechol, there are quite high stability constants of complexes with alkali metal cations, which indicates the formation of sandwich complexes. However, there is no significant selectivity of interaction. The synthesis of p-tert-butyl calix[4]arene derivatives containing acetic and propionic acid residues was performed. A number of starting benzocrown and aminobenzo- and diaminodibenzocrown ethers with different numbers of heteroatoms in the crown ether cycle were synthesized.
