Research methods: epidemiological, statistical, program-mathematical. The incidence rates for all cancers exceed the national level only in the clean-up group of 1986–1987, SIR (standardized incidence ratio) = 106.7% (95% confidence interval (CI): 104.9–108.5) There is a significant excess the expected incidence of thyroid cancer among clean-up workers - 4.5 times, evacuees - 3.8 times, residents of radioactively contaminated areas - 1.3 times. The incidence of lymphoma and leukemia in clean-up workers and evacuees is 1.4 times higher than the national level. The incidence of women with breast cancer is 1.6 times higher than expected.
