Special attention is paid to the study of biological species, their populations in the nature reserve "Roztochya" and the development of scientific bases for systemic conservation. An abnormal phenomenon for the Roztochya region was low rainfall in summer: 26.7 mm of precipitation fell in June (28% of the norm), and -54.1 mm in July (58% of the norm). The highest amount of precipitation was in May - 154.1 mm (217% of normal). Uneven rainfall is one of the signs of increasing climate change in the Roztochya region. According to the results of floristic research in 2019, a total of botanical inventories of species of higher vascular plants were discovered, mapped, and conducted. Of these, 31 localities of species included in the RBU, 9 localities of RRS plants, 16 are uncommon and endangered. Species diversity of vertebrates, according to long-term data, covers 341 species, the species composition has not changed during the reporting year, the structure of populations and the number of individuals of individual species are changing dynamically.
