The objects of the study are populations of rare plant species that are distributed in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians and are mostly included in the Red Data Book of Ukraine (2009): Gentiana acaulis L., G. punctata L., Leontopodium alpinum Cass., Salix herbacea L. , Pinus cembra L., Cerastium cerastoides (L.) Britt., Saxifraga carpatica Sternb., Rhodiola rosea L., Coeloglossum viride (L.) C. Hartm. etc. The objects are also populations of: endemic species (Dactylis slovenica (Domin) Domin, Poa deylii Chrtek I. Jirásek., Pedicularis hacquetii Graf., Symphytum cordatum Waldst. Et Kit. Ex Willd.); arco-alpine species (Pedicularis verticillata L., Veronica alpina L., Gnaphalium supinum L.); and other species. The objects of study of invertebrates are populations and groups of Cladocera and Copepoda species of planktonic crustaceans in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians: The study also selected a group of amphibian species of the Red Book of Ukraine: the Carpathian newt Lissotriton montandoni (Boulenger, 1860), the alpine newt Ichtyosaura alpestris (Laurenti, 1768) and the mountain goddess Bombina variegata (Linnaeus, 1758). The directions and scales of changes that the populations of rare plant species, certain species of animals and their habitats are undergoing in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians have been established; interactions and conjugation between species in groups were studied and positive and negative neighbor species were identified; changes in seasonal rhythms of population development are determined. The properties of populations of rare species at different stages of their life cycles and on the verge of viability have been established. Product Description popup.authors Bilonoha Volodymyr M.
