The possibility of obtaining dispersed and granular scintillators YSO:Ce, YAG:Ce, GAGG:Ce, CsI, ZnSe:Al and ZnWO4 without the stage of single crystals growth was investigated, their luminescent and optical characteristics were studied. Optical, physical and chemical properties of optical matrices (absorption, luminescence) and their compatibility with dispersed scintillators were studied. Scintillation and optical characteristics of composite scintillators obtained by different methods have been studied, their optimal composition and methods of production were determined. Stability of characteristics of composite scintillators with optimal composition in time and under action of temperature, moisture and radiation were studied. Composite scintillators and based on them detectors were developed for high energy physics, alpha and beta detectors, low-energy gamma and X-ray detectors, as well as fast and thermal neutrons detectors.
