The purpose of the research at its first stage is to determine the maximum loads on the load-bearing element structures of wagons with swap bodies at normative movement modes. Methods of research are methods of linear algebra and numerical integration. Patent research of wagons with swap bodies designs has been carried out at the first stage of the research work. The analysis of normative requirements at freight wagons with swap bodies designing has been executed and normative movement modes have been defined. Mathematical models of freight wagons with swap bodies dynamics have been developed. The maximum loads on load-bearing elements of freight wagons with swap bodies designs at normative movement modes have been determined by using the mathematics models. Proposals for a perspective design of a domestic freight wagon with swap bodies have been developed. The results obtained at this stage will be used in the future to mathematically simulate the stress-strain state of fastening elements of the body to the platform under operating loads and to evaluate these elements strength in operation.
