The aim of the third year is to develop a modern system of measures to prevent the spread of syphilis among some socially significant groups of the population of Ukraine (pregnant women, combatants) for various levels of medical care and improve the diagnosis of syphilis based on modern treponemal and non-treponemal tests. The research methods are sociological, epidemiological, clinical, serological, molecular biological, immunological, statistical. The modern epidemiological features of syphilis in Ukraine were detected and was presented in the structure of the prevalence of latent and late forms of syphilis and algorithms for diagnosing syphilis using treponemal and non-anthroponemic tests among socially important groups, including pregnant women from different regions of Ukraine. A survey of servicemen revealed 0.7% of syphilis patients. Analysis of the state of highly specialized dermatovenereological care in the country showed that the availability of this care for the general population has significantly deteriorated and it has made it virtually impossible to organize and carry out preventive measures against sexually transmitted diseases, particularly among vulnerable groups. The data on the most modern and economical methods of serological diagnosis of syphilis arbtained. This will help ensure access to syphilis prevention services during the initial examination; at the place of application in the framework of primary and emergency medical care; during the stay of pregnant women in medical institutions according to epidemiological indicators.
