 The object of research is the formation of a comfortable living and working environment in the cross-border area in the context of challenges to national social security. The subject of research is scientific-methodological and applied principles of forming positive motives for living and working in their country on the basis of improving the quality of life and improving the environment of social interaction. The purpose of the study is to identify the main problems and factors in the living and working environment that cause negative trends in the formation, development and use of human potential to further justify the transformation of state and regional socio-economic policy to achieve social security in cross-border regions. Research methods: combination of existing methodological principles with the theory and tools of economic-mathematical modeling of assessment of the processes of interconnection and mutual influence of factors of social and economic content based on the socio-economic approach.
