Research methods: processing of terrestrial and satellite measurements, in particular, with the use of data series visualization, using Fourier analysis. The spectra of planetary waves according to ozone data in 2019 and 2020 were studied using spectral analysis with a Fourier series of satellite observations during the winter-spring season and during sudden stratospheric warming (RSP). The mechanisms of anomalous influence of rising waves of planetary scale on the stratosphere, which can lead to RSP, which in turn affect the variability of the troposphere, are considered. The parameters of planetary waves in the Arctic are studied according to the anomalies and variations of stratospheric temperature and the results of spectral analysis of their variations. A comparison is made and the peculiarities of the development of sudden stratospheric warming in the Arctic and Antarctic regions are determined according to the data of reanalysis. Significant meridional displacements of the Arctic vortex under the action of planetary waves have been determined, which in combination with the downward movement of stratospheric temperature anomalies and zonal circulation after RSP create conditions for weather and climatic anomalies in the middle latitude troposphere. In addition to the standard, software was developed and comparisons of vertical ozone profiles based on terrestrial and satellite data were made.
