The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of oral administration of smoke nanoparticles of natural origin from the combustion of poplar wood on the course of LRS-induced neuroinflammation, glutamate / GABA neurotransmission and the state of the intestinal barrier of rats. Research methods - monitoring of clinical signs of white nonlinear rats under conditions of LRS-induced neuroinflammation (body weight, diarrhea), signs of impaired metabolic activity of microbiota (caecum mass), systemic inflammation (thymus, spleen mass); determination of paracellular permeability of the epithelial barrier by the permeability of the marker FITC-dextran, 4 kDa; registration of short-circuit current in the conditions of voltage fixation at 0 mV (µA / cm2); transepithelial resistance in response to a current pulse of 10 μA (Ohm * cm2); determination of the accumulation of L- [14C] glutamate and [3H] GABA synaptosomes; statistical analysis of the obtained results. Seven-day oral administration of the drug RM smoke obtained from the combustion of poplar wood at a dose of 180 μg / 100 g in rats with LRS-induced neuroinflammation: (i) led to a probable weight loss of animals; (ii) there was a tendency to increase the mass of the thymus (iii) did not cause significant changes in the number of destroyed dopaminergic neurons in rats with LRS-induced neuroinflammation, as determined by apomorphine test. However, the drug RM smoke probably reduced the transporter-mediated accumulation of L- [14C] glutamate and [3H] GABA in the nerve terminals of the rat brain; (iv) changes in neurotransmitter transport have been associated with exacerbations of proinflammatory changes in the intestinal barrier state under the influence of RM smoke.  Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2022-03-09 Close
