The subject of research - the features of religious security in the unity of both its structural components and functional characteristics. Research methods - comparative and interdisciplinary approaches, structural-functional, systematic and content analysis, application of the principles of historicism, tolerance and non-confessionalism. The novelty in the study of religious security is, on the one hand, as a state of stable functioning and independent development of interfaith and state-confessional relations in terms of their quantitative (sociological research (expert survey) aimed at studying and analyzing socio-statistical phenomena and processes) and qualitative characteristics (strategy of taking into account man-made installations), and on the other - as interconnected multilevel system of relations (personal, religious, state level) in the context of internal and external threats of a pandemic nature and the identification of its heuristic capabilities. During the project, historical connotations of religious security were studied, legal documents on the coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine, a number of measures implemented by public authorities, and the reaction of religious hierarchs, religious organizations, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and religious organizations, were carefully studied and analyzed. new ritual and cult practices in the conditions of quarantine restrictions and a system of anti-epidemiological measures are comprehended. The participants of the project group prepared the Concept of Religious Security in Ukraine in the Coronavirus Pandemic and recommendations to public authorities on ensuring religious security at both the national and regional levels.
