Podgorny Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The characteristics of the thermal scheme of the steam turbine power unit with a capacity of 300 MW were analyzed with increasing steam parameters at the turbine inlet from 23.5 MPa, 540 ºС to 35 MPa, 700 ºС. Investments on the transfer of the power unit to supercritical steam parameters were assessed by experts. It is shown that a favorable level of technical and economic indicators of such a project can be achieved by increasing the steam temperature at the turbine inlet to 700 ºC with a small increase in pressure. Expert analysis of the results of calculations showed that the transfer of the turbine K-300-240-2 to the following parameters of fresh steam 30 MPa, 650 ° C and after industrial superheating 7 MPa, 650 ° C can be done by completely replacing the high pressure cylinder of the existing unit and superstructure the cylinder of a part of average pressure at full preservation of parameters and designs of initial parts of average and low pressure, and also at the maximum possible preservation of system of regenerative heating of feed water.
