The purpose of the work is assessment of the dominant natural components in promising areas to expand the network of wind farms in the Azov-Black Sea Ecological Corridor, operating wind farms, as in legal and environmental terms it is important to ensure conservation and management of man-made areas and develop a comprehensive strategy both for the implementation of the state order for the development of wind energy, and the conservation of natural complexes in accordance with the requirements at the international and national levels. Research methods – as the main methods were used: analytical assessment, introduction of author's software products, adaptation of research methods and technologies for conducting of expeditionary work to the tasks of national and international legislation, creation of automated databases and basic cartographic materials, GIS-based and in AutoCAD, assessment modeling of impacts on natural components. This project aims to obtain results, among which the most important are the creation of fundamentally new, ready for implementation, integrated techniques using the latest technologies, software for modeling biodiversity assessment and calculations of the degree of impact at the stages of territory substantiation and operation of wind farms.
