The purpose of the work is to improve the living environment of man to expand the possibilities of his spiritual and physical development by modern trends typical of developed European countries. The effect of the implementation of research work is to ensure the required level of comfort of people in their living environment, improving their living and working conditions, improving their recreation in an ecologically balanced natural environment. For the first time, the principles and methods aimed at humanization of different types of the human living environment were formulated, methods of improving its functional-planning organization were developed, suburban settlements were supplemented with new types. The issues of this research correspond to the state policy in the field of scientific and scientific-technical activities and medium-term priority areas of innovation at the industry level, in particular - resource-saving technologies, environmental protection; protection of historical, cultural, and architectural heritage.
