Dnipro; test organisms: Brachydanio rerio, Ceriodaphnia affinis, Hydra Attenuata, Allium cepa. The purpose of the work is to study the efficiency of iron and manganese compounds retention by microfiltration lignocellulosic (wood) membranes, to establish technological parameters of this process and scientifically substantiate the perspective ways of genetically safe drinking water preparation out from various natural sources by microfiltration membranes made of natural materials. Research methods: biotesting, spectrophotometric, colorimetric, atomic absorption, etc. Key results: the retention of iron, manganese compounds and their mixtures by microfiltration lignocellulosic membranes was studied, technological parameters of this process were established. A high retention coefficient of Fe(III) (constituting 85.9–99.9%) was found out, which provides a decrease of iron concentration in permeate to MPC in drinking water. It was determined that during treatment of manganese-containing solution, permeate, which meets the standards of DSTU 7525:2014 for drinking water for manganese content, can be obtained at a manganese concentration in the initial solution ≤1mg/dm3. An increase in the efficiency of manganese removal with increasing iron concentration in solution was found out. The high efficiency of Mn and Fe compounds removal by treatment of r. Dnipro and tap water using laboratory microfiltration units, experimental baromembrane unit based on tubular microfiltration membranes from natural materials was confirmed and substantiated. The complex biotesting method confirmed the production of genetically safe water by microfiltration treatment of the r. Dnipro water and Kyiv tap water using membranes made of natural materials. Applied field: water treatment. Product Description popup.authors Iievlieva Olga S. Balakina Margaryta M. Baranov Oleksandr I. Vyhovska Inna A Holovkov Andrii M. Demchenko Victor Y.
