Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  The problem of eigen modes of one-dimensional controlled Bragg structures (magnetophotonic crystals) is set up and analytically solved. The dispersion equations for the two polarizations of radiation and their analytical solutions with respect to the Bloch wave number are obtained. The regularities of the propagation of terahertz waves over the surface of a periodic layered superconductor have been studied. The dispersion relations for the layered superconductor plate are obtained. Based on the method of expansion by plane waves, the modes of existence of bulk and slow surface waves in a photonic-crystal waveguide with a hollow channel are investigated. Dispersion diagrams of such structure and the spatial distribution of the amplitude of the longitudinal component of the electric field are constructed, which provides interaction with electron beams in the waveguide channel. A modified design of a photonic-crystal waveguide with additional matching layers is proposed. A modified Helmholtz equation is obtained for a hollow Bragg waveguide channel filled with electron beam. The problem of the interaction of terahertz radiation with a periodic structure containing superconducting elements is solved. The explicit dispersion equation for Floquet wave numbers in photonic-crystal structures containing metamaterials and / or layered superconductors is also obtained. The excitation of specific volume-surface waves (helicons) using the model of a point magnetic dipole moving along the lateral surface of a semiconductor cylinder in an external magnetic field is considered theoretically.
