The aim of the research is to develop ways to increase the angular (spatial) resolution of antennas based on the use of basic known wave and optical (quasi-optical) electromagnetic phenomena of interference, focusing, diffraction, polarization and depolarization, reflection, refraction of electromagnetic waves. types and different ranges of working wavelengths with high resolution and experimental verification of developed technical solutions on experimental models. Research methods - theoretical research, computer analysis, experiment. Mathematical software, algorithms and programs for calculating the directional characteristics of linear antennas with arbitrary amplitude distribution of electromagnetic field sources, waveguides, horns, vibrators, mirror antennas and antenna arrays have been developed. Numerical calculations were performed and on the basis of large arrays of calculated data the analysis of the resolution of the main types of antennas was carried out. It is shown that it is possible to increase the resolution of antennas by using V-shaped amplitude distribution, sparse antenna arrays, complexing of radiation of different types.
