The subject of research is methods and means of measuring the radiometric characteristics of complex ground objects and reducing their visibility. The purpose of the work is to create a model of a radiometric measuring complex of 8 mm band for using it to test of assessing of the completeness and effectiveness of means of reducing the visibility of complex ground objects. Research methods are methods of diffraction theory and signal and image processing together with methods of experimental radiophysics. Results: model of radiometric measuring system 8 mm range is worked out and created, method of calibration of radiometric sensor in the laboratory was developed, method of testing to assess the effectiveness of reducing the visibility of ground equipment samples based on the developed complex was worked out and requirements for sites where such tests can be conducted were formulated. A method of linear multiplexing of information channels of a matrix radiometric sensor in order to reduce the number of amplifier-conversion channels in a correlation-extreme navigation system is proposed, and approaches to increase the accuracy of determining the coordinates of ground objects by such systems are proposed. These approaches are based on detection of a number of point, long and plane objects that may be tangent. The theory of metaferite has been developed and it has been shown that its use as a substrate for a patch antenna allows to significantly reduce its overall dimensions while maintaining performance.
