Research object – the processes of deformation of the charge of solid fuel,firmly attached to the body of a rocket engine on solid fuel (RESF). The object of research – the processes of deformation of the charge of solid fuel, firmly attached to the body of a RESF. The purpose of the work is to develop a program and methods of design calculation for the strength of the charge of solid fuel, firmly attached to the body of the RESF, taking into account the rheological properties of blended polymers under conditions of storage, transportation and operation. Research methods – methods of solid deformable mechanics and computational mathematics; finite element method. The proposed mathematical model of solid fuel charge behavior in rocket engine housings made of various materials, including composite, taking into account the rheological properties of blended polymers under conditions of storage, transportation and operation, has been software implemented. Software verification by solving test problems, including those with analytical solution carried out. On this basis, a method of design calculation for the strength of the charge of solid fuel, firmly attached to the body of RESF. Developed methods, algorithms and software transferred to the State Enterprise “Design Office “Yuzhnoye” for use. With the help of the developed software, the area of maximum stresses in the RESF case is established. The nature of the behavior of stresses near the thermal protective coating is studied. The voltages in it at the boundaries with the fuel and the engine housing are analyzing. It proved that the solutions of linear and nonlinear models coincide almost identically during of RESF storage. Three-dimensional and flat finite-element models using in the calculations and their comparative analysis are performing.
