The results of the research are as follows: - methodology of foresight research to determine the priority areas of scientific and technological development for 2022-2026, including in the field of national security; - improved methodology for patent and scientometric analysis; - methodology for developing a roadmap for the use of STI to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the Strategy for Innovative Development until 2030; - analytical information on the compliance of the STI areas proposed by experts with world trends and the available scientific potential in these areas; - analytical information on the compliance of critical technologies proposed by experts with global trends; - proposals for new priority areas of scientific and technological development; - proposals for a list of updated critical technologies in the field of armaments and military equipment. The novelty of the work is the complexity of the methods used in the study: 1) two methods of foresight research - expert surveys by expert groups (scientists, entrepreneurs, CEB representatives) and the Delphi method at the stage of selecting the best proposals, which involves members of Expert Councils; 2) patent and scientometric analyzes, which assess the international competitiveness and patentability of the proposals of Ukrainian scientists; 3) analysis of the potential of Ukrainian science and developments in relation to scientific research and technologies offered by experts.
