Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2 It was found that under the conditions of fibrosis modeling, prolonged administration of carbon tetrachloride to young animals led to severe fibrosis and toxic hepatitis with significant hepatocyte necrosis, while in older rats in similar experimental conditions the overall histological picture is closer to cirrhosis with severe cirrhosis. Significantly, the level of oxidative stress in the body - the tissue content of lipid hydroperoxides, probably increased only in the liver of old experimental animals. It was concluded that in experimental animals there was a pronounced fibrosis with signs of hepatocyte necrosis, but the severity of changes in the measured parameters significantly depended on the age of the animals. A possible cause of this phenomenon may be a higher level of oxidative stress in older animals in the simulation of experimental liver fibrosis. In a study of the relationship between the patient's age and the severity of liver fibrosis / cirrhosis in the Kharkiv region, it was found that in 2010-2020 significantly increased the number of deaths from liver cirrhosis in patient’s aged 41-60 years, from 50.1 to 78.39% (p <0.05 ), and in both cases men predominated. The teaching of the disciplines 'Histology, Cytology and Embryology', 'Pathomorphology', 'Pathophysiology' has been improved by using the data obtained during the research.
