The nowadays experimental methods were used to clarify the physical mechanisms of processes. In theoretical research and computer calculations, techniques were used that ensure sufficient accuracy and reliability of results. Fundamental physical processes that determine the optical, electrical, magnetic transport, adsorption and structural properties of the latest materials promising for use in modern electronics, optoelectronics, photonics, spintronics – nanocomposites and heterostructures, thin structures systems of inorganic, organic and biological origin, colloids have been studied; new physical principles of using laser radiation to create nanoobjects and nanosystems, to control the motion of atoms and molecules, to form clusters and nanoparticles by pulsed laser ablation of a solid in a liquid, for photoorientation of thin layers of liquid crystals were developed; new information on the regularities of defects migration processes in bulk semiconductors and nanostructures was obtained; adsorption and catalytic processes on the modified surface of refractory metals with the participation of oxygen and nitric oxide were studied; physical processes and phenomena that determine the efficiency of gas-discharge systems for the synthesis of new substances and materials were studied experimentally and theoretically; supramolecular aggregates of biological molecules, important for understanding the physical principles of functioning of biological systems, have been studied with the help of computer modeling and spectroscopic methods. These fundamental results can be used to develop practical recommendations and create the physical foundations of new electronic and ionic technologies, including nanotechnologies.
