Structurally the work consists of five sections, in which modern technologies of aluminium alloy welding, both fusion and solid phase, are considered. In the first section, the processes of nonconsumable electrode argon-arc welding and friction stir welding of D16 alloy (Al-Cu-Mg) were studied. In the second section the authors consider the features of weld formation at consumable electrode pulsed argon-arc welding of 1201 alloy (Al-Cu) in the atmosphere of shielding gases: argon, helium or their mixtures. In the third section the influence of the parameters of consumable electrode argon-arc welding process on the features of structure formation and physico-mechanical properties of joints of structural 2219 aluminium alloy (Al-Cu) was studied. In the fourth section the influence of the parameters of diffusion welding on the structure and micromechanical properties of bimetal welded joints of Mg-Cd alloys and cellular-porous aluminium alloys, using gallium-based activators-interlayers, was investigated. In the fifth section, the features of structure formation and physico-mechanical properties of layered aluminium-titanium joints and technologies of producing three-layer honeycomb panels from them by vacuum diffusion welding are considered. During work performance the authors determined rational welding conditions and service properties of the studied alloys. Application of obtained results in industry will ensure lower metal content and ability of the structure to preserve the required functions with time, in the specified modes and application conditions.
