The relevance and importance of the study is based on the need for scientific justification and development of practical recommendations for improving the system of economic regulation of environmental security in the region in terms of administrative-territorial changes and administrative decentralization. In the process of working on the topic have been used the theories of sustainable development, green economy, institutionalism; methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison, abstraction, system, formalization and modeling, etc. According to the results of the study, the theoretical and practical provisions for achieving environmental security of the region are deepened on the basis of a combination of principles of centralization-decentralization in the management of environmental and economic processes in the country. The final outcome and the main scientific results of the study are the deepening of the conceptual foundations of economic regulation of environmental security and develop practical recommendations for improving mechanisms and tools for economic regulation of environmental security in the region in a decentralized government. The results of the research have been implemented in practice, including the central legislative and executive bodies. It is expected that the object of study will develop in the direction of improving the institutional support of the model of economic regulation of environmental security of the regions.
