MATERIALS AND METHODS: microbiological, biochemical, physicochemical, statistical. MAIN RESULTS: A new approach to the production of postbiotic products was theoretically substantiated. It is disintegration of probiotic cells and their subsequent cultivation in their own disintegrates. The biochemical composition and antioxidant properties of cell-free extracts (CFEs) from disintegrates and cultures of B. bifidum and L. reuteri were studied. It was found that the effect of CFEs on the metabolic activity of eukaryotic cells depends on the concentration and type of extract and the type of test cells. CFEs can significantly increase the adhesion of probiotic bacteria. The use of probiotic bacteria as systems for the biochemical modification of precursors (for example, glycerol or ascorbic acid) significantly increases the inhibitory potential of postbiotic products, in particular, relatively antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Most CFEs stimulate the proliferative activity and biofilm formation of probiotic bacteria in vitro. CONCLUSIONS: New approaches to the creation of postbiotic remedies for the correction of dysbiosis, an increase in the effectiveness of treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases and the overall productivity of biomass of probiotic cells have been developed.
