The purpose of the research is to develop methods and implementation bases of multichannel image and video processing in mobile systems to expand their functionality, improve the efficiency and reliability of the final tasks. The report presents the main results of the development of methods and high-speed algorithms, as well as modern tools of processing multi-channel images based on forecasting performance indicators and providing them for such important stages of processing as lossy compression and classification. It is shown that such indicators as the peak signal-to-noise ratio, visual quality metrics, improvement of the probability of correct classification, the position of the optimal operating point can be predicted. Such forecasting provides certain advantages in terms of processing speed and efficiency, such as two-stage compression, limited loss of classification quality, processing automation. It is also possible to choose the optimal processing parameters such as quantization steps or the maximum allowable absolute error. Some of the developed methods and algorithms are implemented in the form of software and algorithms for processing color images, remote sensing data, medical images.
