Objective: to monitor the dynamics of natural processes in the ecosystems of the Kaniv Nature Reserve and adjacent areas under the program "Chronicle of Nature", as well as other protected areas of the Middle Dnieper (JV). Objectives: to identify new populations in the region and to control already known populations of vulnerable species and habitats protected by EU Directives; assessment of the current state of existing nature protection facilities in the Kaniv Nature Reserve region; creation of new environmental facilities; study of biogeochemical processes of the ecosystems of the reserve. Research methods: field research (floristic, geobotanical, population) distribution and ecology of rare and background species of animals and plants in the JV region, analysis of literature sources and available information on Internet sites. Areas where rare species of plants and animals are found within the Kaniv Reserve are mapped and the development trends of their populations during the last 20 years are characterized. The list of vascular plant and vertebrate species has been supplemented and updated, and new sozophyte growth sites in the region have been identified. Based on previous and original research, the "Chronicle of Nature of the Kaniv Nature Reserve" for 2020 was designed and submitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in 2020 and materials for the "Chronicle" for 2021 were prepared. Geoinformation of areas where rare species of plants and animals are found within the Kaniv Reserve and other areas with rare biota of the Middle Dnieper, in particular: the territory of the Emerald objects "Girls" and "Syrovatka River Valley", Pilipenkova Gora tract, protected islands, etc.  Product Description popup.authors Gryschenko Vitaliy M.
