Air temperature ranges were also tested for emissions in excess of four standard deviations from the average daily air temperature. A combined approach was used to assess the homogeneity and stationarity of the series: four and one of the generally accepted tests, respectively, as well as two graphical methods recommended by the World Meteorological Organization. The missing values of observations were restored by multiple regression depending on the air temperature before and after the omission in each month. It is shown that gross errors and significant emissions in these series of observations are absent. It is obtained that the series of observations of the average annual air temperature is quasi-homogeneous and quasi-stationary. Cross-validation of ERA5 reanalysis data and ground observations of the Antarctic station "Academician Vernadsky" on the state of snow cover and air temperature. It is shown that there is a good agreement for the air temperature, at the same time the data on the height of the snow cover have strong differences in the value, especially in the early 80s of the twentieth century. Based on ERA5 reanalysis data, over Antarctic Peninsula it was found that the greatest changes in air temperature and snow cover height occur in coastal areas. With moving into the cenrtal part of the continent, changes in the height of the snow cover do not appear. An empirical dependence for the rate of melting (cm / day) of snow cover depending on the average daily air temperature and wind speed is obtained.
