The object of research is park forest ecosystems as natural structural blocks of the urban ecosystem. Research methods - bioindication at different levels of living organization; system, comparative, gradient analysis and methods of ecological profiles; field (forestry-taxonomy, ecological-floristic, ecological-faunistic, geobotanical); laboratory; mathematical and statistical. A complex of bioindicators was developed at different levels of the organization of living systems for diagnosing the state of park ecosystems: at the cell level - the content of phenolic compounds in the leaves of woody plants, in particular, chlorogenic acid; at the level of the organism - the state and damage of trees; at the level of population, community - the state and biodiversity of phytocenoses of park ecosystems by tiers, characteristics of groups of birds nesting in phytocenoses; at the ecosystem level - identifying the degree of transformation of park ecosystems depending on the level of anthropogenic load, the distribution of negative effects of degradation by structural components of the ecosystem (tiers, plant and animal communities) by diagnostic indicators. The basis of own classification of Park forest ecosystems of Kiev, based on the principles of geomorphological classification of mesorelief and modified to take into account the natural conditions and historically formed vegetation of the urban ecosystem of Kiev. A system of integrated assessment of the state of Park ecosystems, consisting of 6 indices to determine the direction of degradation processes and the level of destabilization of Park ecosystems.
