Purpose of the research is the theoretical and methodological study and empirical research of the psychological resources of the person's adaptation potential. Research methods are the theoretical analysis of the scientific sources, the systematization and the generalization of data on the problem research, the comparative analysis, the psycho diagnostic methods, the methods of the empirical data mathematical processing. Results and their novelty: expanded theoretical information about the problem of adaptive potential of personality and some of its psychological components; the expediency of considering the characteristics of reflexive consciousness, explicit and implicit components of self-consciousness, features of self-regulation of own activity as important factors of social and psychological adaptation of the personality and its subjective well-being is substantiated; the role of reflexive and resource components of adaptive potential in ensuring emotional stability and psychological well-being of the personality has been empirically identified and analyzed. Results introduced in DNU while the teaching the courses on "General Psychology", "Personality Psychology", "Psychodiagnostics", "Psychological Assistance in Emergency Situations".
