The purpose of the first stage of research is to identify and register transformational features in the ecosystem functions of non-timber forest resources.Research methods - a full range of approaches to the study of biodiversity - organic, taxonomic, structural and functional, landscape, ecological and basin. The methods used were adapted for research taking into account the environmental specifics of different types of non-timber forest resources. Scientific result: development of criteria for assessing the current state of various groups of non-timber forest resources in the steppe zone of Ukraine. The results obtained are new.
