P. Semenenko Institute of geochemistry, mineralogy and ore formation popup.description2  A new complex Au-Mo ore type has been defined in Greenstone complexes of the Middle Dnipro megablock of the Ukrainian Shield. A set of criterias have been developed for the mineralization, the main ones: structural and and metalogenic, Mo-mineralization is related to edge parts of Au occurrences; lithological, complex Au-Mo minetalization is related to the contact of Mesoarchean basic rocks with acid subvolcanites cross-cutted with the basic rocks; temporal, Mesoarhean metamorphosed Greenstone bodies are prospective for complex Au-Mo mineralization; tectonic, Mo ores are related to cross section of orthogonal faults of the subvolcanites; genetic, productive mineralization of Mo, as well as Au were generated by fluid systems following the intrusion of subvolcanic bodies of metarhyodacites and metadacites; lithological, Au mineralization is mainly localized in basic altered rocks, more rarely in the acid subvolcanites, while Mo-mineralization is in altered metadacites, metarhyodacites and less often in metabasalts and their xenolites.
