The purpose of research work is to increase the world-class service properties of elements of military equipment by developing theoretical principles and studying their contact interaction and elastic-plastic deformation of new materials and surface coatings based on variational formulations, microstructural models and parametric modeling, as well as the development of recommendations for substantiation of advanced technical solutions. Research methods - methods of solid environment mechanics and materials science; methods of the theory of variational inequalities; variational methods of minimum total energy for a mechanical system for determining the stress-strain state of contacting bodies; methods of finite and boundary elements for the application of constructed models to the analysis of contact interaction of elements of military equipment. The results of the work are an improved theory of contact interaction of elements of military equipment (ART) taking into account the elastic-plastic behavior of new materials and surface coatings based on the development of the theory of variational inequalities and the Kalkera variation principle, as well as regularities and recommendations properties of weapons elements, their materials and coatings. It is recommended to use the results in the analysis of the stress-strain state taking into account the complex nonlinear behavior of materials in determining technical solutions and parameters of elements of military equipment with high technical characteristics. Forecast proposals - further numerical implementation of structural-nonlinear models of contact interaction of elements of military equipment and solving current applied problems is planned.
