A hydrostatic model has been developed to melt an electrode metal droplet. On its basis, the existence of a plurality of stable forms of an electrode metal droplet of a given volume, located at the end of an electrode of a given diameter, is shown. The conditions for ensuring the welding process with the coaxial ordered detachment of a drop of molten electrode metal, a decrease in heat removal from the surface of the drop and the electrode, which made it possible to increase its technological and energy efficiency, have been established. The highest efficiency and the best technological parameters (melting coefficient and mass melting rate) are characterized by intensive welding processes with a high current density in the electrode. In pulsed-arc consumable-electrode welding of low-alloy structural steels in mixtures of shielding gases Ar + 18 ... 20% СО2, the pulse duration range is determined, where metal spatter can be reduced to a level of less than 1.5% (pulse duration 2.6 ... 3.4 ms ). The fine-droplet transfer of the electrode metal according to the "one pulse - one drop" principle is achieved at currents much lower than in a stationary process. The influence of the constituent parameters of the impulse action on the quality and formation of the deposited metal, metallurgical processes in the arc-burning zone and the weld pool, the weld and HAZ metal's structure, and mechanical properties of the stress-strain state of we Product Description popup.authors Zhernosekov Anatolii M.
