The purpose of the research is to develop an innovative concept of biomonitoring of animal toxic burden in natural and artificial ecosystems. Research methods - field ecological method, cell cultivation, biochemical and molecular methods of biomarker determining. Indices of animal state of different groups allow developing the necessary measures to prevent the negative influence and to conserve the animal populations and biodiversity in a timely manner. For the first time, molecular disturbances as the mechanisms of pollutants’ actions are established. The state of animals in natural ecosystems is determined by means of environmental indicators and molecular markers. The toxic effects of pollutants on the reactivation of normal and transformed cells in culture are investigated. Obtained data allow the development of the concept of biomonitoring to identify disturbances in animal organisms and their populations at early stages of influence. The developed methodological approaches may be recommended to agencies related to the environmental control for the rapid revealing of toxic pollutants influx, relevant response, and the prevention of remote negative consequences for ecosystems.
