Objects: atoms in light fields, photochromic molecules, holographic phase lattices, self-associative Fourier-holography schemes; dye-incorporated polymer matrices; nonlinear optical resonances. Methods: density matrix equation, Monte-Carlo method, experimental methods of nonlinear saturated absorption spectroscopy, Fourier-optics methods; methods of synthesis and polymerization of optical materials using nanomaterials. The methods of creation of holographic structures with nanoparticles, photosensitive nanocomposites doped with Au, Ag and LaPO4 nanoparticles have been developed. Rotational invariant pattern recognition for binary and halftone objects is implemented using the method of synthesized phase objects and Fourier – Mellin transform. A non monotonic behavior of the width of the velocity distribution of the ensemble of atoms in opposing bichromatic or frequency-modulated waves has been revealed. For the first time, the optical characteristics and dynamics of cyclization of photochromic molecules - furan-containing diarylethenes have been studied, which allows to create high-speed molecular resistors with optically modulated resistance. Laser active elements based on covalently bonded polymethine dye with polyurethane matrix have been developed. The scheme of registration of resonances of coherent capture of the population in rubidium vapor has been created. The structure and dynamics of the diffraction orders of the grating system at the transverse movement of the sensor grating has been studied. The holographic processing of information, formation and stabilization of images in the self-associative Fourier-holography scheme has been studied; the concept of associative optical encryption has been developed.
