It has been established that the water of the Opechen lakes system is the most polluted by studied metals (Fe, Cu, Zn, Co, Mn, Ni, Pb, Cd). The highest concentration of oil products in water was found in lakes Luhove, Minske and Lebedyne, and the maximum content of oil products was found in the bottom sediments of lakes Luhove and Bogatyrskе. It has been established that under the action of heavy metals (Cu2+, Pb2+) and oil products in submerged macrophytes, the content of chlorophyll a and b and carotenoids decreases, as well as their ratio. It was revealed that epiphyton algae are distinguished by their reaction to water pollution with oil products. Diatoms are more sensitive to its effects than green algae.
