I. Mechnikov National University popup.description2  The project aims to study non-stationary phenomena in near space. The purpose and main objectives of the study: solving problems of origin and interaction of dust component of interplanetary space with the Earth's atmosphere, in particular in the aspect of asteroid-comet danger, using a unique network of optical telescopes in Ukraine. Among the tasks is also a multi-purpose and comprehensive study of artificial and natural objects of the Solar System and near space, as well as satellites of the Earth in geostationary orbit. This applies in particular to objects such as comets. Considerable attention is also paid to the observation of non-stationary phenomena directly in the Earth's atmosphere. They are caused by the intrusion into the atmosphere at high speeds of solid dust particles, which are material left in interplanetary space after the destruction of, in particular, comet nuclei. Much of the observational material was obtained with the help of three telescopes of the Odessa Observatory Network of Optical Telescopes. Thus, the Meteor Patrol telescope has been conducting systematic observations of meteor phenomena since 2003. The database of photometric and positional observations for such events is constantly being updated. A telescope with a main mirror diameter of 0.51 m is working on near space objects (geostationary satellites), which is equipped with a photometer and a system of color filters. As in the case of meteor phenomena, the photometric curves of changes in the brightness of such satellites constitute a unique database of the Odessa Observatory, which has no analogues. The largest network telescope with a main mirror diameter of 0.8 m was used to observe comets. The use of special image processing methods allowed to highlight interesting details of the core surface, as well as to estimate the rate of dust formation in a coma. The results were obtained for several comets. Product Description popup.authors Gorbanev Yuri M. Kimakovskаya Iruna I. Kimakovsky Sergiy R. Sukhov Petr P.
