For some of them in the fruiting phase the height of plants reached 400 cm, the length of the panicle - 30-35 cm, stem diameter - 16-18 mm. The best genotypes formed aboveground mass up to 520-580 g/plant. The largest mass of 1000 seeds could reach 29-32 g. Among the studied samples of sugar sorghum in the flowering phase, the highest dry matter content was 46-55%, sugars - 27-31%, monosaccharides - 12-16.5% and lipids - 6.45-7.7%. Before the seed ripening phase, the dry matter content of some samples of Sorghum saccharatum plants increased to almost 60%. During the same period, the lipid content in most samples was in the range of 4.2-5.87%. All DGAT, WRI1, OLEO genes present in the sorghum genome, related to the biosynthesis and accumulation of neutral lipids (triglycerides), have been identified and characterized in various tissues. The differences in the sequences of different copies of these genes are characterized and their affiliation to specific isotypes is determined. Phylogenetic analysis of protein sequences of DGAT, WRI1, OLEO sorghum and O. sativa, Z. mays, A. thaliana was performed. The expression data of these genes in different organs and sorghum tissues, obtained on the basis of transcriptome studies, was searched, which allowed to establish the patterns of expression of these genes in different tissues.  Product Description popup.authors Ivanova Tetiana S.
