A series of tests was performed to obtain a carbon-carbon composite material with the necessary parameters for strength, amount of specific surface area, etc. According to international requirements, the model of the adsorber was modernized to study the sorption properties of iodine and methyl iodide in the dynamic mode and the aerodynamic properties of AVVM samples. The method and equipment for researches of mechanical properties of AVVM on the basis of rotating oscillations are developed and tested. The stand for saturation of AVVM samples with methyl iodide and determination of iodine content by X-ray radiometric method was modernized.
