The aim of the work is to study the influence of genetic and non-genetic factors on breeding traits of sheep and pigs (reproductive qualities of sows and ewes, live weight of lambs at birth and weaning, wool and sheep fat, fattening and meat qualities of pigs). As a result of the conducted research work it was established: - lambs of lines 369 and 0058 with different wool tones should be used to improve live weight and shear washed wool, as these genotypes combine fine wool with high live weight; - Duroc, Pietren, Great White, Ukrainian Meat and Landrace pigs differ in the frequency of genotypes of MC4R and CTSL genes; - in order to ensure the profitability of pig breeding in Ukraine, it is necessary to carry out state interventions in the market of pig products; Prospects for further research are to study the development of the pig industry in terms of industrialization of technological processes of production and sale of pig products; - it was established that the highest fattening rates in three variants of fattening had young animals obtained from a combination of DUSS sows with Landrace boars; it was found that the interactions year of lamb × age of ewes, year of lamb × type of birth, genotype of sheep × type of birth and interaction of three factors year of lamb × genotype of sheep × type of birth and age of ewes × genotype of sheep × type of birth had a significant impact (P <0,001 … 0.044) per live weight of lambs at birth.
