One of the promising areas in this is the use of electric arc technologies with guaranteed jet transfer and combined (shielding gas + flux) protection. For the successful application of such a process it is necessary to perform a set of studies, the overall plan of which is as follows: • to investigate and determine the conditions for ensuring the stability of the processes of melting and transfer of the electrode metal and the peculiarities of the formation of seams in the combined protection of the welding bath. • to study the basic laws of control of technological properties of the system "power supply + arc" in the jet process and combined protection; • develop the basics of arc welding and surfacing technology with jet transfer and combined protection and verify the results obtained in production conditions. From the point of view of scientific achievements it is expected to obtain a numerical analysis of the type of electrode metal transfer in different technological variants of welding and power sources and to develop methods and equipment to control the technological properties of the surfacing process with combined protection.
