It was shown that a dense homogeneous structure is formed in the ingots. Areas with a rough columnar structure are absent. There is no significant difference in the nature of crystallization along the length of the ingot. The modes of electron-beam welding (EBW) of alloys based on titanium aluminide with the use of preheating and post-welding local heat treatment (LHT) have been developed. Preheating to 400 ° C and post-weld local heat treatment at 900 ° C are effective in prevention of cracks in metal joints of large ingots based on titanium aluminide. It is established that to ensure a homogeneous uniform structure in the welded joint of large ingots of alloys based on titanium aluminides after EBW requires the use of additional furnace treatment.
