The object of research is the process of creating and using new high-yielding genotypes of sugar sorghum as a basis for obtaining liquid biofuels from second-generation raw materials and improving the producer strains and technology for biobutanol production. The subject of research is highly adaptive forms and varieties of sugar sorghum (Sorghum saccharatum (L.) Moench) of own selection and new strains-producers and technology of biobutanol production. Research methods: general and special methods. Using modern introductory, selection and biotechnological methods, highly adaptive genotypes of sugar sorghum with the best qualitative and quantitative characteristics of second-generation phyto raw materials as a basis for the production of liquid biofuels were created and selected. A new butanol-producing strain with increased conversion for sorghum fermentation was selected by targeted selection. Two-stage cultivation with optimization of fermentation parameters and with the use of cellulosolytic bacterial and fungal enzymes was performed.
