The aim of the second stage of the research is to develop criteria for assessing the anthropogenic transformation of ecosystems by quantitative indicators of biological diversity to optimize the procedure for environmental impact assessment. Research methods - classical biogeocenological, methodological tools for accounting and quantification of alpha, beta and gamma diversity of ecosystems, verification of the existing system of ecomorphs of plants and animals and methods of estimating the indicative value of ecomorphs. As a result of the research, the following scientific results were obtained: verification of ecomorphs of plants and animals as a basis for ecological analysis and ecologically sound conclusions and recommendations in the practice of environmental impact assessment; indicators of ecosystem services and methodical recommendations of their application are developed.
