This multifaceted approach made it possible to fully reveal the issues of the topic, in particular to highlight the current state of folk traditions and folklore in a foreign ethnic environment and their functioning in new social changes and transformations; to analyze modern tendencies of domestic fine and decorative art in the context of world cultural processes and to define the basic directions of development of traditional kinds of national and professional creativity of masters; at the interdisciplinary level to study the leading trends in the development of Ukrainian art culture, in particular film and theater art in their interaction with the world context from the standpoint of modern scientific discourse; to analyze different periods of development of Ukrainian musical culture and its international relations, to find out the role in the mutual enrichment of world national cultures from the standpoint of modern musicology. As a result of the research, a large array of new materials in the field of ethnography and art history was introduced into scientific circulation: results of ethnosociological surveys, operational field research in ethnocontact zones, on the border to reproduce an objective picture of public consciousness; a set of verbal and visual sources on the history of national decorative and sacred art, which is an important factor in restoring the historical memory of the ethnic group; a new view of music culture from the standpoint of Ukrainian statehood is presented; the range of interconnected problems actualized by modern socio-cultural realities (in particular, media education and media literacy, content of Ukrainian television) was studied and scientific works were presented based on the results of relevant research.
